We are
The Ahuja Lab.
We are a chemosensory lab. We are primarily interested in deorphanizing olfactory receptors, the underlying molecular mechanisms mediating the induction and regulation of olfactory receptor expression in non-olfactory tissues, the functional relevance of ectopic olfactory receptors in pathological states such as aging, and cancer, the development of novel diagnostic and therapeutic strategies by targeting these ectopic olfactory receptors, taking advantage of both computational and molecular biology tools and techniques.
